  • Chubby Chocobo: You must lose a Chicobo card to the Queen of Cards. You can then get the card from the student sitting on a bench at Balamb Garden, near the Library.

  • Angelo: You have to win this card from Watts either on the Forest Owl Train (before kidnapping the President) or on the White SeeD Ship in Disc 3. Watts will not always play with Angelo, so it may take you several games. It is harder to win on the Train, because his cards are probably better than yours at that time. The sooner you win it the better, because if you wait until the White SeeD ship you will probably already have a lot of better cards than you would early on, and thus no need for Angelo (except for the 100 elixirs he refines to... those could be quite useful.

  • Gilgamesh: You must challenge King from the CC group in Balamb Garden. To challenge King, Talk to Nida on the Bridge and after that challenge Dr. Kadowaki to a game in the infirmary. After that, go and sleep in your dorm room and King will challenge you. You win the Gilgamesh card from him.

  • MiniMog: You have to win this card from the guy running around in the hallway at Balamb Garden.

  • Chicobo: You win this card if you beat all of the Chocobo Forest puzzles and then visit the Chocobo Santuary.
  • Quezacotl: You have to win this card in the normal fashion from the Mayor of Fisherman's Horizon. Once again, the sooner you get this card the better, because it is more helpful early on than it is late in the game. Most likely, however, by this time you will already have Ifrit, Sacred, Minotaur, Diablos and Zell, which are all easy cards to get and are much better than Quezacotl. If this is true, than you can probably wait for a while without getting Quezacotl if you are busy, unless you are in desperate need of the Dynamo Stones it refines to.

  • Shiva: At the White SeeD Ship in Disc Three, give Zone your copy of "Girl Next Door" that you find in Timber (if you dont have it yet, go to the Timber Maniac's headquarters and search all the stacks of magazines. You will find it in there.). Make sure you give it to him for free, or else you wont get Shiva. Period.

  • Ifrit: Win it from Ifrit when you fight him... good deal! The fourth-best Level 8 GF card in the game as the first card you win. Not bad...

  • Siren: You have to beat the Pub Owner in Dollet twice. The first time is a normal round, and the second he will use his Siren card against you.

  • Sacred and Minotaur: Beat the Brothers at the Tomb of the Unknown King. Of course, this is more beneficial the earlier you get it for reasons already stated.

  • Carbuncle: You have to win this card from the CC member Heart. Heart is actually Xu, and you can find her on the bridge.

  • Diablos: You recieve this card upon beating Diablos. In order to fight Diablos, use the magic lamp that Cid gave you upon leaving Timber.

  • Leviathan: The CC member Joker has this card among his deck. Joker appears randomly after you defeat Jack (another CC member found in the entrance hallway).

  • Odin: Beat Odin. 'Nuff said.

  • Pandemona: After Galbadia has stopped invading Balamb, challenge the Hotel Owner in Balamb (the city not the Garden) to a game and win it from him.

  • Cerberus: Kill Cerberus during the invasion of Galbadia Garden.

  • Alexander: You win this card from Piet, the head technician of the Lunar Base. You can do this either at the base or by finding the escape pod.

  • Phoenix: You must give the Queen of Cards your Doomtrain card, and then talk to the President's Blue Aide in Esthar.

  • Bahamut: Defeat Bahamut in the Deep Sea Research Center.

  • Doomtrain: Gibe the Queen of Cards an Alexander Card. Then go to Timber and win this card from the Pub Owner at the right counter.

  • Eden: You have to defeat Ultima Weapon to get Eden's card. Don't forget to draw Eden from Ultima during the fight!

  • Ward: Dr. Odine in Esthar has Ward's card. Defeat him in a game to win it from him.

  • Kiros: Give MiniMog to the Queen of Cards. A man dressed in black clothes in the shopping area of Deling City will then have this card.

  • Laguna: Win this card from Ellone while at the Lunar Base.

  • Selphie: Challenge and beat Selphie's friend next to the gargoyle in Trabia Garden. You have to challenge her after your initial visit in order for her to use this card.

  • Quistis: Challenge any of Quistis' fan club, called the "Trepies", to a game of cards. The Trepies are located at: Lazy man in the cafeteria, two girls in the second floor classroom.

  • Irvine: Give your Sacred card to the Queen of Cards. This card can then be won from the Fisherman Horizon's Mayor's wife.

  • Zell: You can win this card from Zell's mom in Balamb. This is a great (and easy) card that you can get early on in the game..... try as hard as you can to get it ASAP.

  • Rinoa: You have to win this card from Rinoa's dad in Deling City. However, he never plays with Rinoa's card. To get him to play with it, you have to intentionally lose your Ifrit card to him. Then he will start to play with Rinoa's card, and you can win it from him. You can get your Ifrit card back from Martine in Fisherman's Horizon.

  • Edea: Challenge Edea to a game in disc 3 at her house to win this card.

  • Seifer: Cid has Seifer's card. You have to win it from him either on disc 1 before the SeeD mission, or disc 3 at Edea's house.

  • Squall: You win this card from Laguna either at Esthar or the Ragnarok. Creepy huh? Whats he doing with Squall's card? Top
