Irvine Kinneas

Irvine is an excellant sharpshooter, great gunman and a notorious lady's man. At least that is how he wants to come across. In actuality, Irvine values a good relationship with a woman and tends to choke under pressure. Before coming across Squall's party, he had pretty much only looked after himself. But when Squall and company all got arrested, he and Rinoa were the only ones exempt from the charges and thus were not imprisoned. When Irvine was trying to leave, Rinoa practically bit his head off and made him go back to rescue Squall. Irvine has been loyal as a dog ever since.

Irvine's weapon is the Shotgun. While it is a gun like Squall's gunblade, it does not use R1 to deal extra damage. R1 is used, however, in his limit break. When his limit break is activated, you must select a type of ammo. Then press R1 as many times as you can and he will shoot that ammo into the enemy. Different types of ammo do different amounts of damage, but the most powerful types are Fast Ammo, AP Ammo and Pulse Ammo.
