Cloud Strife

Cloud is the Leader of your party. Except for a short while in the middle of the game, you must have him in your party at all times. His sword attack is incredibly powerful, with his limit breaks among the strongest in the party.

Born in the town of Nibelheim, Cloud is a childhood friend of Tifa. He was somewhat of an outcast in childhood, so he went off to join SOLDIER to prove himself to Tifa and her friends. He left Nibelhiem saying he would return once he became as good as Sephiroth.

The game picks up with Cloud and some terrorists attacking a Mako reactor in the city of Midgar. The terrorists belong to a group called AVALANCHE, dedicated to destroying the life-sucking Mako reactors. Little does Cloud know what this bombing will get him into...
